Fixed Term Contract - Skilled worker visa

Post by werdna » Thu Dec 16, 2021 12:49 pm

Hi,

Per the above I am currently permanently employed on a skilled worker visa. I currently have 18 months on said visa until ILR.

I am looking at a new position however the role is a fixed term contract rather than a permanent role.

My question is, if the fixed term contract employer is on the sponsor register will they be able to sponsor me? Or is sponsorship only available to permanent employees.

Many thanks!

Yes they will. If the fixed term contract is for 5 years or less they will just put the work end date in the CoS as your end of contract date
