New Scorecard proof of residency

Post by Sherryndx » Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:39 am

Dependent adults:

I am a dependent adult who is living in Ireland as a dependent of their parent. I am currently a college student and I have noticed that in the new scorecard system, my score will not add up to 150 for proof of residency. I currently do not work or pay taxes as I am on a stamp 3 visa so most of the application types on the scorecard for proof of residency does not apply to me. I am in third level education, have bank account statements, and have a few doctor appointments/visits but that still doesn’t add up to 150 on the scorecard. As for the department of social welfare annual statement, my child benefit has been discontinued as I have become over 18 years old.
Could a dependent adult perhaps use their parent’s P60 statements or any other listed application types in the scorecard?
Any help would be appreciated!

hey! did you look into young adult conditions?
from https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/m ... tml#l6615c:
Young adults
You can use your parent’s reckonable residence if you are a young adult and do not have the required reckonable residence yourself. You can also use Stamp 2 or Stamp 2A permissions.
im not sure how exactly that works under new system to be honest, as I applied in December, but there is hope you can get around it with this. Maybe send them a query by email while you're waiting?

I believe new system is a mistake and they didn't consider all the factors. I can name plenty of them here but question is why the need a new system when people was providing similar documents in past and they still said if you can't provide them applicants can engage with department so it's like before if someone had missing documents they had to take space X Rocket and go to Mars to find out what alternatives they can provide.
Only problem is in past in many cases they have all the documents but they are too lazy to look into and instead asking people to send same documents.
They want to hide under Unprofessionalism and unablitity to work. Simple is that.
