Heard from my SriLankan friends that the applications such as spouse visas are being processed in Chennai (India) rather in Colombo which its use to be so its taking long time.
I applied in Dec 2006 and got the same day when the applications were processed in Colombo.
Also because of biometric information being cross examined its taking considerable amount of time but according the British High commission web site it will be decided within 12 weeks.

The speed of processing of your husband visa application also depends on the supporting documents submitted.
