Hello

I have applied set p for a friend of mine as a favour since i previously had mine approved last year.

However, when i was filling out the online form, i realised they have changed it by introducing UkVI app where you confirm your identity by scanning brp and all that.

However, upon completion of the application, they never emailed him to give his fingerprints and neither did they asked for any sort of supporting documents.

Application submission email was received though.

Just wondering if this is normal as when i filled out my application last year for set p , i was asked to book my biometric appointment plus provide the supporting documents. They didnt asked my friend to provide any of that.

Just double checking if they have changed the procedure?

Any feedback would be appreciated!!
Hello Alismith, have had any reply from Home Office with a new application (UKID checker-new service) such as appointment or support documents with your application? I'll be very appreciative of your answer cos I', already fill out my application with the same UKID checker service?

Hello Nihad, are you applied with the set(P) or a new service called UKID checker settlement? and could you tell me your answer in the first mandatory documents (travel documents issued by your country) what was your answer here, for my side I don't have any travel document issued by my country only the original passport and its already with Home Office? appreciated your reply.

Hi

It turned out that HO has changed the procedure for Set p. Now you dont have to book appointment for biometric.

UKVI app has replaced the biometric. This recent change was introduced back in October. Asked a very reputable solicitor and they have confirmed it too.

Just make your application and confirm your identity through the UKVI app.

Once you recieve the application Unique number upon the submission, its just a waiting up afterwards.

Goodluck!!

Hi Nihad,

Thank you for your reply.

What about those three questions what are you put down there please:

1. Do you have any family in your country of birth, country of nationality or any country where you have
lived for more than 5 years?
2. Do you have any friends in your country of birth, country of nationality or any country where you have
lived for more than 5 years?
3. Do you have any cultural ties to or are you part of any social groups in your country of birth, country of
nationality or any country where you have lived for more than 5 years?

Really i'm confused about the answers.

I'll be very appreciative if you reply quickly.

Thank you.

Hi Marie

I gave minimal information on those questions as they aren’t that important

My timeline.

Leave to remain expiry: 03 Oct 2021
Online application made/sent: 13th Sept 2021
Biometrics recorded: 15th Sept 2021
ILR Granted: 04/02/2022

No payslip, no council tax. Just plain application with TD and BRP (scanned where I submitted biometrics)

Hope this helps to a lot of people. Good luck everyone :)

Nothing so far. Im surprised that not only they didn't asked for biometrics but also never asked for any sort of supporting documents.

Out of curiosity, did they ask for supporting documents from you?

Hi Alismith,

I did not apply yet and maybe at the end of this month but at the end of the stages of this procedure, as I remember, they asked for providing documents? Is that right or not? really I don't know.

I'll update you with any new news. will you please update me as well with your friend case? Appreciated that!

Thank you.

Hi Aqi,

Hope you are ok!

Could you please explain to me what documents they asked you to upload (copy and paste the checklist) if possible this will be very appreciated in advance?

Did they give me an appointment for a biometric book date or not yet?

Thank you.
