Guidance on partner visa

Post by mppune » Thu Feb 03, 2022 2:58 pm

Hello Experts,

Would hugely appreciate if someone can guide me. My situation is below.

I will be joining a new employer and they have filed my visa application with the visa appointments in next couple of weeks.

My employer's lawyer suggested that I can go ahead with filing visa applications by linking their applications with my application (by using the Unique Application Number). I have now done that and submitted separate dependent applications for my wife and sons.

In my sons case, I submitted the IHS and visa fees and it has directly reached the stage where I am asked to book the biometric appointment, whereas my wife's application, after paying the IHS and visa fees she was asked to upload evidences and now application seems to be stuck there. There is no option to to proceed in her case..

Any idea how long does it take for home office to review evidences and whether this is something that everyone goes through? All my previous applications were a joint ones (me, wife and sons all in single application) and we have never faced this issue previously.

Many thanks for reading

MP

Useful to state what category of visa you have applied for.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Both the links were from this page https://apply-to-visit-or-stay-in-the-u ... 7116d84ea8

Your wife is eligible to reuse biometric from previous BRP and do not need to attend an appointment. Either the webpage or an upcoming email will tell her to download an phone app and scan her BRP.

also it is not mandatory to update dependant visas when switching jobs. Their visas will remain valid until expiry date on BRP
