BNO visa timeline

Post by Jamesl123 » Mon Jan 10, 2022 11:13 am

Hi,

Does anyone know what the general timeline is for a BNO visa? I know the gov website says 'within 12 weeks' but I was wondering what the realistic timeline is?

I have just submitted my application before the new year and need it approved in March. I saw some previous threads on here and it doesn't seem to bode well for me...

A further follow up. I am currently on a Tier 2 work visa and switching to a BNO visa. On submitting my application (paying IHS fees etc.), it said I did not need to provide any evidence.

In anyone's experience, do you know if that remains to be true or do they ask for some evidence somewhere down the line? And if the latter is true, would it be useful to upload those evidence prior to them asking for it?

Thank you.

For those of you who are interested, I thought I would post an answer to my own question as there were no clarifications made here or anywhere that I could find.

I am currently on a Skilled Persons Visa sponsored by a company. I submitted an application on the 27th December 2021 for a BNO visa. This was done via their online service. Since I was already in the UK on a work visa, I was not required to upload any evidence.

On 7th Feb 2022, I received an email confirming that my application was successful.

I hope the above proves useful to those applying in the future who wants to see what an example timeline could be. Best of luck to you all.
