referee question - business partner

Dear all,

Thank for your time! May I ask if my business partner, who is holding ILR though T1 Entrepreneur route and was on the same team with me on T1E, non British, same company (VAT registered) as company director could be my referee? Not quite sure about if he is related to me or not on the application.

My second referee is British.

Referee qualifies, unless you are related to business partner through blood or marriage.
