Hello

I have applied set p for a friend of mine as a favour since i previously had mine approved last year.

However, when i was filling out the online form, i realised they have changed it by introducing UkVI app where you confirm your identity by scanning brp and all that.

However, upon completion of the application, they never emailed him to give his fingerprints and neither did they asked for any sort of supporting documents.

Application submission email was received though.

Just wondering if this is normal as when i filled out my application last year for set p , i was asked to book my biometric appointment plus provide the supporting documents. They didnt asked my friend to provide any of that.

Just double checking if they have changed the procedure?

Any feedback would be appreciated!!
Hello Alismith, have had any reply from Home Office with a new application (UKID checker-new service) such as appointment or support documents with your application? I'll be very appreciative of your answer cos I', already fill out my application with the same UKID checker service?
Hi

It turned out that HO has changed the procedure for Set p. Now you dont have to book appointment for biometric.

UKVI app has replaced the biometric. This recent change was introduced back in October. Asked a very reputable solicitor and they have confirmed it too.

Just make your application and confirm your identity through the UKVI app.

Once you recieve the application Unique number upon the submission, its just a waiting up afterwards.

Goodluck!!
Thank you Ali for your reply...any new news for ur updated case yet?
Hi

Nothing so far. Im surprised that not only they didn't asked for biometrics but also never asked for any sort of supporting documents.

Out of curiosity, did they ask for supporting documents from you?
Hi, i applied recently, on the 9th feb 2022,no biomerics email appointment was sent to me either, i felt like i might have been negligent in confirming when submitting the application without reading properly, anyhow recevied an email confirming submission and that i need to submit evidence by april, and soon after email confirming evidence submitted now all i have to do it wait. When i try to login to see my application there is an option to submit requested documents,i dont remeber what was mentioned in”when to submit documents”as i already ticked on that, they dont want me to upload photo evidence as i already did through the app maybe, but still there is an option to submit documents and it mentions to select which doc to submit and if unsure check the list we might have asked you in my case i haven’t received anything so i left it as it is for now...slightly worried

Once I completed the application and submitted , I received an email like the one below

What you need to do next
If you have not already done so, you must return to your application to book and attend an appointment with our commercial partner to provide your documents and enrol your biometrics (fingerprints and facial photograph).

then I clicked on the link where it says (return to your application) and then booked the biometrics appointment and took my original documents with me.

hope it helps

Hi Sammar

Do u apply with Set(p) or with the ID checker UKIV? It seems to me that you already applied with set p, not with ID checker, is that right? The post above (Yas) mentioned that already applied with ID, Yas r u applied with an ID checker, please.

Please anyone put any information here make sure that all that we need to help each other (please put which application set you went with).

Hi Aqi,

Hope you are ok!

Could you please explain to me what documents they asked you to upload (copy and paste the checklist) if possible this will be very appreciated in advance?

Did they give me an appointment for a biometric book date or not yet?

Thank you.

Hi Guys,

I have recently applied for my friends. One with depends and the other one single.

It seems weird but from what I understand, if you apply as a single person you get through a different application form and you will be asked to use the "ID checker" using your mobile phone.

On the other hand, if you apply as a family you will be diverted to "Set P" application form, you will be asked to upload your docs and book an appointment for your fingerprints to be taken.

Has anyone notice the same?

Cheers
Dav

My friend recieved email from atlas confirming his application for set p was successful.

Took about 2.5 months in total. No fingerprints and no supporting documents were asked for by HO. Everything done through the id checker app.

Goodluck to everyone waiting.

Hello everyone I have been following this thread ever since I applied for my settlement in December.i applied my settlement through the new uk immigration app.
My leave was due to expire 21st of April 2022 but decided to apply early on the 22nd of december 2021. I submitted my biometric and travel document through the app and no further evidence was requested.
Today 8th of April 2022 I received my decision from Atlas and my application was successful.
It took 3months and a few days am now waiting for biometric card.
Good luck to everyone waiting

I applied travel document on 6 Mar 2022 but on 25/03/2022 I received an email from Home office saying "We are experiencing delays in processing Travel Document Applications. This is due to the impact of the Home Office response to the Ukraine crisis on our processes. We are working hard to consider your application as soon as possible."
