INDIA HCI Passport RE ISSUE

Hi All

Hope anyone can help. story follows:

Applied for ILR in Jan but my indian passport is due to expire end of March this year.

Did the application form for reissue but now cannot find a single appointment slot for Passport Category on the HCI website

has similar happened to you? surely if i wanted an urgent passport there must be a way of getting it. All slots are showing as Red or Grey. (earliest unopened slots look like April) (Strangely booking for a VISA appointment allows timeslots for a few weeks away)

Any advice will be appreciated

Passport slots are usually busy because surrender applications and other miscellaneous applications go through same queue.

If you need it urgently due to emergency you may write to HCI stating your emergency and request an appointment.... if your concern is you would be without a passport before you get apply a new one .... that's fine its again usual ...

With regards to ILR ... your application wouldn't have an impact as you held a valid passport at the time of application, also expired passport is still a proof of your identity, that being sole purpose with regards to ILR application.

You may also apply for a BRP to hold ILR separately to your passport.

I have already emailed HCI on why there is no available slot, but yes may do the same to ensure a faster appointment.

I am looking to take a holiday after I get my ILR so passport reissue will be required

i have emailed both inboxes to find out why i cannot book any slot and also request an urgent one

query sent to inf.london and appt.london boxes
