See Catagory G or F : https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... rement.pdf

In the UK Self-employed is not the same as a company director. :!:

Spouse ILR plz advice

Post by Londoner8881 » Thu Jan 27, 2022 12:47 pm

Hello I am due to apply for my spouse ILR her present visa is finishing on 29-03-2022 And I want to use my 2021-2022 tax return for these application but I cannot submit my tax returns until 6 April 2022 and I cannot use my 2020-2021 tax return as it is well short of 18600 I am in a very tricky situation, my accountant said to me he can do my accounts by end of March and he can mention I have earned more then 18600 but cannot submit till 5 April as HMRC won’t accept, is it ok if I do my application online and submit the letter which my accountant will give me and by the time we get the appointment for bio-metric to submit my supporting documents in person I can submit my tax returns and will have all relevant documents sorted plz advice many thanks

Apply before visa expiry and then upload the documents after your tax return is submitted. You are NOT required to submit evidence startighaway

NO you are not required to submit documents immediately. Passport must be valid when you apply only

You can do another test 7 days after the previous test.

They require the last year which means the tax year that has ended so it is April 2020-21. If you can apply or book your appointment after 6 April 2022, then you may submit the latest SA which is April 2021-22

I don’t have any option at the moment I just have to submit my 21-22 financial year documents and pray that they should consider and accept these year but if they send me query and ask me to submit 20-21 tax returns then I will be left with no option ……. Can you advice me on 2 years of tax returns average profit how does that work ? May be I can go with that option ? Plz thanks

Please refer to the guide I posted above. If you submit the latest SA, you should be good as far as I see it

Just wait for the email confirmation on whether she needs to attend appointment or use the IDV app.

She has submitted the application before current visa expiry, so it's fine for her to stay, work and attend appointments after the expiry.
