Sucessful spouse visa application!!!!!!!!! :)

Post by overthemoon » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:18 am

My husband has just been given his spouse visa in less than 3 weeks from Nairobi :)
We are so happy and after reading so many posts on this site for advice I just wanted to tell couples out there not to give up hope!
My husband wasn't even called for an interview which shows his paperwork was all fine.
We are not rich and whilst I am not on any benefits, I am not on an overly high wage as I am in my first job since graduating in July.
Here is what we submitted with our application:

3 months payslips (me)
Letter from my employer & contract
6 months bank statements (both)
30 photos of us & our families together
5 wedding photos
Valentines/birthday cards etc
Phone records for 3 years highlighing all phone calls
Flight tickets for about 10 visits to Kenya (me)
Certified copy of my passport
Hotel recepits in both our names for trips taken together
Honeymoon flight tickets & hotel bill
Tenancy agreement (in my name only - 1 bed flat)
Council tax bill
Gas bill
My birth certificate/copy of his
Premium bonds certificates
My husbands CV for employability

I think that's about it!!

GOOD LUCK!
DON'T GIVE UP :)

fantastic, congratulations!
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

Post by crem31 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 8:53 pm

Well done!

I guess a big relief all has come good.

My Kenyan wife and I are still waiting, Betty has just submitted her third application, this time I am sure all is in order.

We look forward to having good news soon just like yourself.

Enjoy a happy life together.

Andy
