settlement visa query

I have got my ILR and due to some personal circumstances i will have to get married soon and i want my wife to join me here. I am a student at an university studying mechanical engineering and currenlty doing a paid workplacement and next year(sept 2009) i go back to uni to complete my final year.

I have enough money to cover our expenses for altleast 1.5 years and can look out for accomodation.

I wanted to know what documents(from my side) i will require so that my wife can apply for a Settlement Visa (after getting married ofcourse). i am concerned mostly about the documents pertaining to work.AND does the law allow my wife to work when she comes here to be with me....

i have tried to find info on BIA, but i can't find something specfic to my case. Can anyone direct me to the relevant UK legislations or advise on this matter.

P.S: my wife to be is a not a EU national,

At first, you will be allowed to stay and work in the UK for two years. Near the end of this time, if you are still married and intend to continue living together, you can apply to stay permanently in the UK.
