Skilled Worker - Fixed Term Contract 6 Months

Post by arodman199 » Sun Mar 27, 2022 4:41 pm

I have a UK skilled worker visa and I was working on a permanent contract. Right now I'm looking for another job to keep sponsoring me.

As a skilled worker visa holder, can I work on a contract basis (6m or 12m)? According to the Right to the Work website, my right to work is active until March 2024, so the time would be enough.
I was also approached about the IR35 tax scheme. In my case, as a skilled worker visa holder, is this option valid for me?

      Thanks

You can only work for your skilled worker visa sponsor as a PAYE employee.

If you want to change employers, you have to apply for your visa again with the new sponsoring employer before you can start working for them.
