Fixed term contract - financial requirement for spouse extension

Post by Bt1000 » Sun Mar 27, 2022 12:52 pm

Hi all,

I have to renew my spouses visa in July for another 2.5 years. Currently, I'm on a fixed term contracted until October 22 (started in Jan 22). I will have six months payslips.by the time I apply with the employer over 18600.

My only question is will the fixed term pose an issue when an ECO looks at the docs. Anyone can shed light or have had experience with this, will be much appreciated.

Is chat and photo evidence needed for spouse visa extension?

Post by Bt1000 » Sun Mar 27, 2022 9:25 pm

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask if chat transcripts and photos evidence over the 2 and half years is needed as I have seen contradicting answers online?

If not, is it just cohabitation, financial docs, housing docs, etc.

Thanks,

Just this, unless you've spent significant time apart during the qualifying period.

Financial requirements FLR (M)

Post by Bt1000 » Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:37 pm

Hi all, I am applying for the spouse visa extension via CATEGORY B for the financial requirement.

I just wanted to confirm, that for both employers, I need to submit my payslips and corresponding bank statements + a letter from each employer with the following:

(b) A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips at paragraph 2(a) confirming:
(i) the person’s employment and gross annual salary;
(ii) the length of their employment;
(iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application; and
(iv) the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency).

Is this correct because I saw another piece of information that the letter has to say that the payslips are genuine, etc.

Please can anyone advise.

Many thanks,

Yes, the genuiness of statements can be incorporated into the employer letter.

Thanks but does my previous employer have to say the payslips are genuine as I don't think my old employer will write them.

They will just confirm how long I worked there for, salary, position etc.

Thanks

They issued the payslips for the salary received. It should not be a big matter. Try, if they do fine, if not you get the feedback that they didn't. Submit what you got and that's it.
