Visitor visa and loss of passport with previous visits

Post by har_p3 » Thu Mar 31, 2022 10:53 am

Hi,

I am applying for visitor visa for my mother in India to visit us in UK. She has previously visited us 4 times in last 10 years. She never overstayed on any of her visits. However, we lost all her previous passports last year and had to apply for a fresh Indian passport. She now has received her new passport. However, we have lost exact details of her previous visits as we do not have a copy of her past two passports on which she travelled before. Does it matter if we can not provide the details of her past visits? How do we handle this situation in her application? Any thoughts?

Try to answer the dates as much accurate as possible on the application and include a cover letter explaining exact dates cannot be remembered due to lost passports. This is not a big problem.

Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate it. Its been many years since those visits and we barely remember the exact months and years let alone dates. So we are going to put that in the cover letter. Hope that should be OK.
