Kids Dependant VISA

Post by hainhars » Tue Apr 05, 2022 3:35 pm

I am currently on a Tier 2 ICT with 6 more months validity and my wife (who was my ICT dependant) is applying for a Skilled Worker 3 Year Visa along with my Kids. I am being told my Kids can get visa end date aligning to mine only and not hers for another 5 years. Is that right? Can someone clarify please

Yes that is correct. They will only get longer if you also apply for a dependent visa.

Thanks for your reply. If a situation arises that I (in ICT) need to go back to home country kids cannot continue in UK unless I switch to my wife’s skilled Dependant?

Correct. PBS Dependent children require both parents to be in the UK to qualify for a visa.

Is this only for PBS? Because in ICT I have seen kids travelling with 1 parent
