HK Passport to enter UK

Hi,

My daughter is British but she was born in Hong Kong and holds a Hong Kong SAR passport.

Will she be allowed to enter the UK on her HK passport?

Sorry, I may not have made some things clear:

We are looking to move to the UK.

I am British, my wife has a spouse visa, and my daughter (a baby) has a HK passport.

I want to know, would be daughter be allowed to enter as a tourist first (we would then apply for UK passport after we arrive)?

Or would Immigration expect her, as a HK passport holder, to have arrangements for her return travel?

If they cannot confirm that she’s British, then they may admit her as a visitor under VN 2.2.

The following people do not need a visit visa before they travel to the UK as a Visitor, other than where VN 2.3. applies:

• (a) nationals or citizens of the People’s Republic of China who hold a passport issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; or
