FLR (HRO) to skilled worker visa

Post by anan05 » Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:43 pm

Hi All,

I was on FLR (FP) or FLR (HRO) visa (one of the two, can't remember, does it matter?) because I was switching from a tier 4 student visa to a skilled worker visa, but my employer hadn't received its sponsorship license yet.

After the license was received, we switched my visa from FLR to a skilled worker visa and they asked home office to 'vary the leave'. It was successful and I am currently on a skilled worker visa.

My questions -
  • What is meant by 'varying the leave'?
  • What happened to that FLR (HRO/FP) application?
  • If I change jobs in the future, will this be a problem, as I will have to apply for a new skilled worker visa?

This entails informing HO to cease actions on an already submitted application and to consider a new application that is just put in. This is usually done so applicant can have legal leave when it remains just a little time to qualify for a muchnmore appropriateor beneficial visa category. In your case, it was used to buy time for your employerto get licence

As stated above, actions on it stopped.

No
