PBS dependent visa extension, no biometrics were asked as part of application

Post by Sandeep5031 » Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:14 pm

Hi all,

I have applied for 3rd extension of pbs tier 2 dependent visa for my wife, under new skilled worker visa. I have received my ILR in 3021, and my partner has 1 year left for Ilr and therefore applied for extension.
However, when I submitted application it didn't ask for submission of biometrics. Only document ask was proof of cohabitation. For this, I have submitted council tax bill and joint mortgage statement. I'm not sure why biometrics were not asked. I'm awaiting for decision. Does anyone have gone through this before? Any advise please. Much appreciated.

When did you apply? Was there any point where it said you should wait to hear from HO if applicant qualifies to use IDV App?

Thankyou for quick response.
It didn't ask for anything. I applied on 31st March 2022. Although it asked for verification by scanning BRP chip as well as I have take face picture of my partner to confirm. No mention of biometrics at all.

Thanks
Sandeep

Most probably means you don't need to book appointment as biometrics on file will be used since not long ago you did one and face picture taken. Measures to reduce delays and process things faster.
