I had a Tier 2 visa for 5 years since 2013 and I have recently obtained my UK citizenship through naturalisation, however, my wife is on the same Tier 2 dependent visa (for three years now) and that is due to expire in two months.
Since she has been on that visa for three years, we are thinking of extending the same Tier 2 dependent (now called skilled worker?).
1- I am not sure if it is possible to extend her "skilled worker" visa when I am a UK citizen. I know it was possible under Tier 2 (e.g., uk-skilled-worker-visas/tier-2-dependen ... 05497.html) but I am not sure if it is still the case.
2. If she is eligible to extend the skilled worker visa, what is the link to apply for extension? She checked the home office's website (https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/ ... d-children -> How to apply) and it takes to a page that asks for my information. For example following information:
- CoS number (I no longer have a CoS number. I am a UK citizen now.)
- Salary paid by company XYZ (I don't work for the same company I used to worked)
- Is anyone else applying with you? (Whereas she is a dependent)
- Other similar questions
I would appreciate if it you could advice whether we are on the right route or not.
Many thanks,
Mehdi
