Anything else we can do regarding extreme delay?

Post by Wilderleaf » Wed Apr 13, 2022 2:00 pm

My partner had her biometrics appointment in Brussels on March 1, for a sponsored Skilled Worker Visa. We're on working day (WD) 31 now, the only news we've received was an email on WD25 stating that her application wasn't straightforward. We have no idea how it might not be straightforward, and suspect they used it as some kind of delay tactic. We've also tried paid emails, but they're useless. We know of many examples of people who have applied after her already receiving their visas, and don't know of anyone from before March 1 still waiting. She was supposed to start work nearly a month ago, and she's worried she could lose the job. Is there anything further we can do? Any advice at all?

Not much you can do. Maybe ask the employer to contact UKVI.
