Good day all,

Please for someone that came to the UK on a visit visa and was returned back to the originating country from the entry border at the airport with the visit visa cancelled, does this mean a ban for the person? If yes, how many years?

The document given to the person at the airport does not mention anything on the ban, just want to check if anyone has experience with such a thing

It's not possible to say if there is a ban without knowing the exact reason of cancellation. For example, there is a 10 year ban for deception.

Nevertheless, they will need to declare this in all future visa applications, and the likelihood of visa refusal will be high.

Yes, the visa was cancelled because the information given by the applicant on the form is different from the one answered when interviewed.

the only concern is nothing like a ban was mentioned on the document, they only mention that the visa is cancelled and the person was put on the next flight back to the originating country

The person should apply to the UKV&I for a Subject Access Request to see what the UKV&I have on record for that person.

And I concur with @ywlgy that any future visa applications will almost certainly likely be refused.

9.20.2.

Entry clearance or permission to enter held by a person on arrival in the UK may be cancelled where the person’s purpose in seeking entry is different from the purpose specified in their entry clearance.

They were probably not satisfied that the holder was a genuine visitor. More history and details of the circumstances may help responders.

Considering it was not deception related (paragraph 9.7.3), i don't think there is any ban on the person. As said, their chance of being refused a visa will be higher.
