Spouse Visa issued outside the UK - when do the 33 months start?

Hi!

I'm looking at the application process for my wife to join me as I return to live in the UK. This would be by applying for a Spouse Visa outside of the UK.

If successful, I would expect a 33 month Spouse Visa to be issued. I am curious to understand when this 33 month period starts. Is it upon date of visa issue, or is it upon date of entry to the UK?

After the visa has been approved, are there time restrictions around when she must enter the UK? For example is it possible to wait 6 months before entering?

The date the visa is issued is the start date of the visa

However, her qualifying period for indefinite leave to remain after 5 years on a spouse visa starts from the date she enters the UK.

She will have 90 days to enter
