Good moorning all.
I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with some advice.
Currently I wish to sponsor my partner to join me in the UK (married in Colombia Decemeber 2021), however I am usure I meet the financial requirements.
This is my situation:
*Dual Colombian, British citizen, Was employed in the Aviation sector from June 2017 until December 2020 (Made redundant due to the on going Covid 19 situation)
* Claimed JSA and universal credit for the first time ever from January 2021 until October 2021
* Started a new job on the 11th of October 2021, salary was 24k p.a, worked with them for 2 months until the 10th of December.
*Got a job offer with a much attractive salary and working conditions, starting on the 14th of December 2021, currently with the same company since the 14th of December, Salary is 34K p.a based on 40 work hours per week.
*Since I was on state benefits up until October 2021, I am unable to provide any work related income for the last 12 months.
*I have only been just over 4 months with current Employer. My current salary meets and exceeds the minimun threeshold of 18.6k
*If I add all the money earned from employment before tax, since the 11th of October 2021 until now, it totals 18,721.12.
Now my question is; Can we apply now for my partner´s visa, since my earnings from the previous 12 months are 18,721.12, even though I have only been 6 months in employment with 2 different companies?, or will I have to wait until I reach a minimun of 6 months with my current employer?, which in such case that will be on the 14th of June.
Also, I currently live in shared accomodation but want to wait until my partner´s visa is approved before I sign a contract for a studio or a 1 bedroom house. My savings are only just over 10k. How can I prove adecuate maintenance and accomodation?
All your answers and advice would be very much appreciated, can´t wait to hear back from you dear members of this forum soon.
