Hi Vini
Yes I been on the FlR FP before. I have competed my 5 year's on this visa route. This would’ve another extension for 2.5 years. But the NEW CONCESSION came in. Hoping for ILR this time around.

Thank you for your reply.

Are you over 18 or is there a child applying with you also?

I've read this new concession is for over 18 only.

Thanks

Hi, Vini
Yes I am over 18, no I haven’t got a child on my application. My application was based on my “PRIVATE LIFE” I entered the Uk as a child, I’ve completed all my schooling here, my country is also apart of the Commonwealth, and I am in, full time employment. You have too met all the Criteria’s set out in the Concession, Which I have met!

Qualify under Paragraph 276ADE
Complete 5 years on this visa route
Having entered the Uk as a child or was born here.
These are the Requirement for early ILR. I am 99% sure I’ve been granted! Because I have received my IHS refunded. Just waiting for some sort of correspondence for the HOME OFFICE!!😩

congratulations!!
I applied on the for FlR FP on the:28/04/21
Biometric completed on the : 7/07/21

Around December: Wrote to the Home Office to inform them that I would like my application to considered under the new “Concession to the family Immigration Rules for granting longer periods of leave and early indefinite leave to remain”

I received a fully refund of the IHS cost: 14/04/22
The problem is I haven’t received email or letter with decision yet. Which is really bizarre!

Is this normal? Is there anyone else with this case aswell?
Congratulations Yashraal07,
how can i contact the home office to request to consider my son's application under the new concession. is there is email For FLR FP extension?
We applied on the 16th of August 2021, Biometrics 16th september 2021 - Decision Pending

Hi, Nava7
Do it through the gov website. The Home office complaint page. ask for update on Application… then Just put that you want your son to considered under that concession. And give reasons. But do remember the Criteria’s!

Hi, My Situation is the same, I applied 2nd extension after completing 5 year on 10year family route with my 3 kids, my 2 kids 100% eligible for early concession which home office announce in first 20th of Oct, 2021 and then 2nd version on 20th of Dec, 2021. there is one more new policy which i heard and saw that any child who borne in uk and spend 7 years without any absent could also be eligible for ILR, can anyone also help with this as well.

Please anyone let us know how to inform Home Office or they will automatically consider this policy when they make decision or anyone got this early concession ???

Hello Flyer2pk,

Can you share the link where you saw this 7 year thing you mentioned?

From what I know, a child born in the UK and spending 7 years here can apply for FLR FP(which was my case) and from then on, more likely to be put on a 10 year route(ILR only after 10 years).

In my case, we all got FLR FP through my daughter being 7 and born here but since she is now 10, I have applied for her citizenship which took us a month to arrive. She is now British and we no longer include her in our extension> I have just submitted my 1st extension for me, my wife and our 6 years old.

It would be interesting to know more about what you mentioned in your post.

Thank you

Sorry if you don’t mind me asking. Are you with the age bracket of 18-24 to apply for this concession.?

Cos I entered the UK at the age Of 15 but I’m now over 24 years old.

As I’ve spent 18 years now in the UK So just wondering if I’ll be eligible for this concession after 5 years on FLR. Many thanks

Update to help those still waiting:

Applied for fee waiver: 18/01/22
Email sent to UKVI to chase up fee waiver application: 21/03/22
UKVI sent fee waiver decision via email on 22/3/22. Fee waiver application partially accepted. Waiver granted for IHS due to working for the NHS.
FLR(FP) application submitted: 23/3/22
Biometric enrolled on: 31/3/22
Received email from UKVI on 25/4/22 requesting for signed and completed copy of Part Two of the consent form and also A2 English language certificate. Mistake on my part I didn’t include Part Two of the consent form. On the same day 25/4/22 I emailed a signed copy of Part Two of the consent form. In the same email I informed them that the application is based on Article 8 of ECtHR and therefore it’s not subject to meeting an English language requirement. However I still attached copy of a A1 English language certificate I had previously used in other immigration applications in the past.

Received an email from the UKVI on 26/4/22 which reads in part:

“You applied for leave to remain on under the Appendix FM 5-year partner route.
However, we have decided that you meet the requirements of the 10-year partner route under paragraphs R-LTRP.1.1.(a), (b) and (d) of Appendix FM. Due to your genuine and subsisting parental relationship with a British child under the age of 18, you meet the requirements under paragraph EX1a.

Accordingly you have been granted a period of 30 months limited leave to remain on the 10-year partner route under paragraph D-LTRP.1.2. of Appendix FM.”

The email stated that the BRP will arrive within 7 days.

I’ll be eligible for ILR in June 2023 based on long residence, so it’ll be of no benefit to me if they consider the application under the 5-year route as they suggested in the email.

Thanks all!

Read the concession again, but this properly! You don’t need to be between, the ages 18-24. The updated one came out in December..
