ILR - Dependent Visa IHS Issue

Post by marlon85 » Sun May 01, 2022 6:23 pm

Hi,

I applied to ILR after completing my 5 years period in the UK as a Tier 2 skilled worker this month and I am waiting my appointment date. My wife needs to apply to extend her existing Tier 2 dependent visa as she didn't finish the eligibility period for ILR so she completed her dependent visa form and she was redirected to the IHS payment page.

This page asks for my "work start date", "work end date" and my "visa expiration date". As my ILR application is still in progress and these fields are not applicable for ILR, she provided my current BRP expiration date (08.05.2022) and then the page showed "0 GBP" as the payment amount.

We would like to extend her visa for 3 years so we wanted to pay IHS for 3 years period. So, could you please help us on how to sort this problem? As I don't have my ILR yet and my wife's visa is expiring on 8th May, should we select 3 years later as the expected expiry date of my visa? Unfortunately we can't skip the date fields as they are mandatory.

Thank you for your help!

Put start date as date of application and end date a date exactly 3 years from the application date you already out as start date

Thank you for your response,

Frankly, I agree with you because the period you suggested is the period for health insurence payment. On the other hand, they are asking for an "expire date of visa" so I have hesitancy to be blamed for "inaccurate statement". Should we write a statement letter to clarify this situation or any other thing? Thanks again.

This is a well known glitch and is relevant ONLY to paying the correct IHS. There is nothing dishonest about doing this, many have.

You don't need to write anything to explain.
