6(1) vs 6 (2) naturalisation

Post by britspouse15 » Sun May 08, 2022 6:28 pm

Hi,

Anyone have any ideas about whether we can apply under the 6(1) route instead of the 6(2) route? My wife arrived in UK 2014 (spouse visa), ILR 2020. The residency requirements / absences work out better for us over 5 years, rather than 3 years.

Thank you

You are free to apply under 6(1) - probably best to explain in a covering note, and no need then to provide spouse documents.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
