Travel to UK from Italy with UK Biometric Residence Card

Hi all, I am new to the forum and have a question.

I am a Kenyan, married to an Italian. We were granted pre-settled status valid until 2026. However we moved out of the UK in July 2021 and are now residing in Italy. We don't know if we will move back to the UK yet.

Can I use my Passport + Biometric Residence Card issued under the EUSS to enter the UK? I will be travelling alone. The reason for travel is because I still work remotely for a UK based company and I am going for some work.

As your pre-EUSS and BRP are still valid there shouldn't be any issue travelling to and entereing the UK.

Yes, your EUSS Residence Card is still valid, as is your pre-settled status and so you can return to the UK during the lifetime of the Residence Card.

However, be aware that due to an absence from the UK of more than six months, you will not be able to apply for Settled Status at the end of the five years of pre-settled status.
