No. Why would there be? The process is there, it's not a trap. I withdrew my partner's application, then applied again. The second application is going smoothly without an issue. Other members have also reported the same.TimTon wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 9:34 pmA question for my friend: if she withdraw her application as she made a mistake but didn't submit biometrics, will it be a problem if she re-apply in future? Will HO ask why did she withdraw the application and investigate? Will the application be refused or just withdrawn so no negative impact?
Full employment history.Do I need to declare only 10 years employment history or all the period I was living in the UK (15 years)?
Where you worked. In employer address section do I need to write down the address of the office I used to work or the address of the head office?
Write whatever is in your contract/offer letter/work certificate. In the end slight mismatch if name does not matter, what the HO is looking for is that you were residing in the UK throughout your relevant period, and that you have not been in the UK illegally for the last 10 years. Many companies change names or are acquired over the years, so a name mismatch is not a big issue. Some employers have a different name from the one that is visible in tax records (for example, employers name can be Food Co, but the tax records can show Beverages Ltd). Do I need to write Food Co or Bevereges Ltd?
Other can correct me if I'm wrong, but it is not illegal to work in two places at the same time(?). This might get you into trouble with your employer if you did not agree this with them, but from the HO perspective, I don't think this is necessarily a red flag(?)Do they check employment from tax year to tax year for the last 10 years or the whole year (so is it going to be Apr 2022 - Apr 2023, Apr 2023 - Apr 2024, etc or whole year 2012, whole year 2013, etc)?
The last employment I had, it started in 2011 but finished in 2013. Are they going to check the records from 2011 or from Apr 2012 (10 years from now) only?
The reason I am asking is because I foolishly worked in 2 places for a few months while on student visa in 2011 until Jan 2012 and don't' want this to be visible from checks.
Naturalisation is a purely discretionary application - you don't have to apply or explain why you haven't applied by a certain date, etc - overthinking!TimTon wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 4:15 pmDear Gurus, also, the friend is asking - still no problems if she apply after a year or two years? Will it be suspicious and does she need to provide a cover letter explaining why she withdrawn the application and why she applying after long time not immediately after withdrawal?
She is worried over nothing. Can withdraw an application as she deems fit without having to explain or give reason why and it won't be an obstacle to subsequent application.TimTon wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 4:15 pmDear Gurus, also, the friend is asking - still no problems if she apply after a year or two years? What abt my work in 2 places during student visa? Will they check records from 2011 (start of employment) or from 2012 (10 years). Anyone had experience with this?
