Spouse Visa to UK documents enquiry

Post by MRMister » Fri May 13, 2022 12:54 am

Hi all,

I am looking to bring my wife to the UK from Bangladesh, I have nearly completed the online application via the Gov.uk site. My query/conundrum is I am not sure how to submit the documents?

I have all the documents except : Her Passport/ID card, English certificate, TB test

Can I finish the application on the GOV site (and pay the £1k+ fees there) to generate a Reference number and submit the evidence to VFS Manchester and she will submit hers to the Visa Centre in Bangladesh(Sylhet)?

Thanks in advance :)

Documents are now scanned and uploaded. They need not be handed in physically/hardcopy.

You can fill the form online for her if want. Online basically can be done anywhere. What you can't do is to submit evidence in Manchester. Everything is done out of country. Luckily, everything is now digital with soft copies. So just scan and attach. Ask her to look it over, so she can spot any mistakes in her details. You can then make payment from anywhere.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Hi guys, thanks for the replies.

as per the GOV website

"After you submit your application, you must provide your documents to our commercial partner. You can provide your documents by:

uploading copies of your documents yourself through our commercial partner's website, free of charge
taking your documents (originals or copies) to your appointment where our commercial partner will scan them for you, for a fee
if your sponsor needs to submit evidence to support your application, they have the option to use an additional scanning service in the UK, for a fee. Details of this service can be found here(VfsGlobal)"

This will of course incur fees at the respective centre however I don't mind this as my wife does not own a a computer.

So from this my wife can book an appointment at the VfsGlobal centre in Bangladesh and scan/submit her docs there and I can do the same at Manchester using the Assisted Scanning Service?

They'll charge you, scan your docs and email it to your partner.
