Hi there
I plan to go home to my country (for the first time in 3 years due to Covid) in June 2022 with a planned return to the Uk by the end of June. My current Tier 2 visa expires on the 15th of August 2022. Would I have any problem returning to the UK with my almost expired visa?
Just a note that my current passport expires in April 2023 so I plan to renew it once I go home then use the new passport to extend my visa. I already have a new contract from the university and they will issue my new CoS once I give them my new passport
Any advice would be very much appreciated
Regards
Sabrina

Not a problem.
It's also ok to apply for the extension with your current passport, as long as it's valid on the day of your application.

This would not be a problem to your return due to still having valid leave.
