Hi All
I had applied for my Tier 1 (general) migrant visa and my wife as a Tier 1 (general) partner/dependant visa in Sep 2008 from India.
Whilst I was granted a 3 years visa, my wife was only given a 4 month visa. This is quite strange because, all criteria and documentary evidences were met (they have to, to even grant a 4 month visa!), including manitenance fund requirement.
I have written to British Deputy High Commission (BDHC), India via e-mail twice, without even an acknowledgement, leave alone a reply. What is the next step I should take to bring this discrepancy to their notice and compel them to give me an answer and how they intend to correct it?
Another important worry I have is, that before we applied for the Tier 1 visa, my wife and I had a Student and Student dependant visa respectively, valid until 2011. We have only had a change of visa, but my biggest worry is, that we entered the UK on Tier 1 visa, incase BDHC and BIA do no resolve this discrepancy in the 4 month duration of my wife's Tier 1 visa, will she be able to continue to live in UK on her Student visa, which is still valid until 2011?
I look forward to valuable comments, please do ask for clarifications, if I am not clear enough.
