received a email from the uKVI on the 24/05/2022 As a result of the humanitarian crisis arising from the invasion of Ukraine, UKVI is experiencing an unprecedented demand and we are currently prioritising applications made under the Ukraine Family Scheme, and the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme to help meet the needs of those most at risk in this situation.

Consequently, customers with standard applications in study, work, and family routes etc. may experience some delays in the processing of their application and we are currently unable to escalate cases except for urgent reasons such as a medical emergency, etc.

In all it took a little over two weeks for the visa applications (2x) to be processed.

For Indian applicants, it appears the New Delhi British High Commission is processing visitor visas relatively quickly, while other centres (Mumbai South, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, etc.) are taking considerably longer.
