Spouse visa Question

Post by zezeson » Mon Jun 06, 2022 4:47 pm

Hi guys, sorry if it isn't the right platform.
Please help, I'm getting two conflicting inputs on the spouse visa application requirement. One side I hear one waits for six months after getting married to apply for spouse visa, the other side says one can apply immediately after getting married. I'm confused right now, I got married last month and I want to apply for a spouse visa for my wife who is outside the UK. Thanks for your help.

Stop listening to 'other people' who do not know what they are talking about.

There is NO requirement that you must wait 6 months after marriage.

You can apply for a spouse visa immediately after the wedding or in a year's time. It makes no difference.

Thank you very much for your response, I seriously didn't see any reason why one can't apply immediately and there is no input from the Home Office stating so indeed. Much appreciated 😊.

The keyword there is spouse. Once your legally married and you guys can say the word spouse. Then that very minute you can apply for that category that you've now fallen into. 8)
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
