Vignette visa on Tier 2 and egates

Hi,

I've got a vignette visa in my passport for my Tier 2 visa. I applied out of country so when be coming to the UK shortly.

My previous vignette visas have been stamped by UK border staff.
Now, I am eligible to use the eGates. But if I use the gate I won't get a stamp.
Given the long wait times at the border this summer, I'd like to use the egate if its going to be faster.

Is the entry stamp on the vignette needed?

You can use e-gates. Tier 2 vignettes are no longer stamped.
