Previous earnings question - bank statements

just a quick point of clarification:

If bank statements are original, on bank letterhead, and in color do they need to be stamped/signed as well or are they sufficient as is?

I don't see it mentioned in the guidelines anywhere, but I see a lot of people talk about doing that in their posts. Is this some sort of unwritten rule?

if the bank statements are original then there is no need for stamping to validate it.
