spouse visa for US citizen while in UK

can anyone advice how to apply the spouse visa for US citizen. The boy is British citizen and currently in US with his wife but they want to come back to UK. How can she apply spouse while they stay in UK as US citizens can stay in UK for 6 months without visa. Does the boy has to work first and show the annual salary of £18600 or how can they start the process??

They can't. The US partner must apply for the spouse visa from the US. You cannot switch to a spouse visa in the UK if you are here as a visitor.

Yes. A minimum of 6 months payslips and bank statements are required plus an employer letter
