FLR FP - Extension to FLR M

Post by sshahariar » Thu Aug 11, 2022 3:14 pm

Hi all

Hope you can are all doing well, and having success in your pursuits. I was hoping for someone to shed some light on this. Long story cut short

Originally my wife applied on FLR FP, and the route she ended up on was the 10-year route due to certain conditions not being met, when she went to do the extension and the advisor said since you are both working, and have been living together for a fair while now apply for FLR M and you won't have to do the 10 years. She did this and recently just got the decision via email but there was no indication as to what route she is on now. The main query was has anyone else done this and what was the outcome? The main queries are:

Is she on the 5-year route now?
Do the 2.5 years on FLR FP count towards the 5 years (if she is on the 5 years)
If they do count then does that mean she can apply for ILR after this?

Thank you for reading and for any information in advance.

Do the 2.5 years on FLR FP count towards the 5 years (if she is on the 5 years) Nope it doesn't, she'll need another 2.5 on FLR M, then ILR.
If they do count then does that mean she can apply for ILR after this?

Thank you for reading and for any information in advance. You've only shortened 10 years to 7.5 years. That still counts for something!
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
