Applying for short stay visitor visa from India to UK, VFS asking for TB test

Post by tej_1234 » Fri Aug 19, 2022 1:04 pm

Hi Board,

I am applying for my 60 yrs old parents who live in India to come and visit me in UK for 1 month. So I have selected the visa category as Visitor visa (short-stay) .

After filling out the application on gov.uk it redirected to me VFS website to book a biometric appointment and to upload the documents.
In document upload section, there is section for TB test.

As far as I know, short stay visitor visa doesn't require TB test. Please confirm this

And if not required, how do I proceed ? As it not allowing me to proceed without having documents for each section. Shall I just ask my parents to go ahead on the appointment day and inform VFS that they don't TB test as it not required.

Please suggest.
Thank you in advance.

A39.
Any person making an application for entry clearance to come to the UK for more than six months, except for applications made under Appendix Ukraine Scheme, or as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner applying for leave to enter under Section EC-P:Entry clearance as a partner under Appendix FM, having been present in a country listed in Appendix T for more than six months immediately prior to their application, must present, at the time of application, a valid medical certificate issued by a medical practitioner approved by the Secretary of State for these purposes, as listed on the Gov.uk website, confirming that they have undergone screening for active pulmonary tuberculosis and that this tuberculosis is not present in the applicant.
If visitors are granted leave for six months or less (per visit), then TB tests are unexpected.
