Can you apply for another country's Visa while waiting for the citizenship application's decision?

Hi there,

My friend has been preparing the citizenship application (she holds a Chinese passport and has ILR via the 10-year route). She's a little concerned about her travel plans in the near future as she might need to travel to the EU in the next couple of months.

Since all documents will be submitted digitally, including copy of the passport, can she apply for another country's visa (e.g. Schengen visa) after she submits her UK citizen application and gives the fingerprints?

PS. both her passport and BRP are still valid (not expired)

Yes.
Two completely different processes - UK naturalisation is not an immigration application and travelling out of the UK won't invalidate the application, and won't have any impact on ILR status. Applying for a visa to visit a foreign country also has no bearing in the application.
