Spouse Visa Extension October 2022

Post by Bighouse2020 » Fri Oct 21, 2022 4:10 pm

Hello

I am in the process of helping a friend with his wife’s spouse visa extension.

The applicant and spouse do not have any joint accounts or bills so they have been asked to provide 6 documents each over the 2/2.5 year period. The spouse has no issue providing documents, the applicant has letters from the NHS, prescription, HMRC letter, bank statements, ECCTIS letter, the letters cover the period mostly with perhaps only 2 letters for 2021.

My question is: is this going to be an issue and should the applicant explain this in a letter, will her bank statements be accepted ( so in fact she may not have 3 source of info for 2021)

Also how do you add premium bond savings to the application as it only asks about liquidated savings in a bank account- hence the need to add an account number.

Once you hit the send button how long do you have to submit the documents, scanned or at an appointment and do you need to do the latter before the visa expires? Or is it that the application needs to be sent before the visa expires and the documents later.

The applicant and spouse live with the spouse parents, will one letter suffice to confirm the parents own the property, that the applicant and spouse have lived together in the property for 2.5 years or do you need separate letters.

Thank you to everyone on this forum - the wealth of knowledge on here is priceless

Bank statements showing details including address are acceptable for the purpose.

Once submitted, they have 45days within which to attend biometrics appointment. Application must be paid for and or submitted before her current leave expires

The applicant and spouse live with the spouse parents, will one letter suffice to confirm the parents own the property, that the applicant and spouse have lived together in the property for 2.5 years or do you need separate letters. They are a couple, 1 letter suffice

Scanning of documents for a spouse visa extension.

Post by Bighouse2020 » Tue Oct 25, 2022 11:41 pm

Hello

I have a few questions regarding the scanning and uploading of documents following a spouse visa extension.

1) The appointment is scheduled for November and the visa runs out in October will this be an issue or do they take payment as submission of application online.

2) Is it worth paying for the scanning or should one do this yourself!

3) if doing this yourself should you rename each pdf to exactly what the document is I.e if it’s a bank letter for correspondence evidence should one name it as that. I’m pre empting some dumb person not appreciating what category it falls in. Or should one write a letter explaining everything.

4) do they scan passport of applicant and spouse at appointment if you upload everything or do you need to do this yourself anyway.

5) once you have uploaded a document can you remove it before you go to appointment or do you only get one chance of uploading.

Apologies for the questions the service to upload yourself and for it to run smoothly seems to good to be true!!!

2) Is it worth paying for the scanning or should one do this yourself! Would say DIY

3) if doing this yourself should you rename each pdf to exactly what the document is I.e if it’s a bank letter for correspondence evidence should one name it as that. I’m pre empting some dumb person not appreciating what category it falls in. Or should one write a letter explaining everything. Rename it, not only will that make it tidy, but also makes it easier for CW to attend to.

4) do they scan passport of applicant and spouse at appointment if you upload everything or do you need to do this yourself anyway. You will scan and upload both before appointment, at appointment applicant should go with their
passport.

5) once you have uploaded a document can you remove it before you go to appointment or do you only get one chance of uploading. Yes you can do so before submitting

Apologies for the questions the service to upload yourself and for it to run smoothly seems to good to be true!!!
