requirement of minor to enter the UK (tier 2 dependent visa)

Post by tonycastle2000 » Sun Nov 06, 2022 9:52 pm

Hi,
Currently, I and my husband stay in the UK (we are holding tier 2 visa).
Two months ago, we applied for a tier 2 dependent visa for our daughter. Now our daughter’s Tier 2 dependent visa is approved (our daughter currently stays outside the UK).
Our daughter (age 7) will enter the UK soon.
In our daughter’s visa application (tier 2 dependent visa), my husband is the only accompanied person to travel with our daughter.
However, my husband could not bring our daughter to the UK as my husband is sick.
We are not sure whether our daughter must travel with my husband (the accompanied person traveling with our daughter in the visa application) to enter the UK.
Could we please know whether I (the mother of our daughter) could bring our daughter to the UK?
Thank you.

Most likely no, since there's only one number on a passport and that's what border official will go off at the point of entry. Not sure why both of you weren't included.
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Thank you very much for your reply. However, I just checked the UK immigration website:

"If you arrive in the UK without the person named in your visa, you’ll need to show that your parent or guardian consents to your travel and accommodation arrangements."

https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor/if-youre-under-18

In this case, do I need to just provide a letter that parent consents to her travel and accommodation arrangements."?

Thank you.

Provide a letter from the father whose details is on the vignette stating reason for the deviation, there is relation with you being parent too so no hassle .
