I have applied for Tier2 extension in August and need to travel urgently.

Can I withdraw the current application and apply via super priority to get the decision asap?

My current BRP is expired so currently working under applied status?

Please advise?

If you withdraw your application, you immediately become an overstayer and your Section 3C protection ends.

If you withdraw, you also lose your visa fee paid.

Super Priority is also not a guaranteed service. You would also require a new CoS if you apply again.

No you cannot. You can of course request the visa to be expedited if you have evidence of an emergency.

It can affect your immigration/citizenship route for years to come. If you are an overstayer, you cannot work etc.

How do i request to expedite it. I have called and the agents have escalated it but that was on Friday and have got no response back. Tried the MP route and they were told that there is nothing they can do about it.

is there an email or diff phone number to contact them.

Hello Team,

I called UKVI helpline from inside UK and they advised I can make another application with super priority and input the current application number in the details and it wont make me an overstayer. Is that correct.

They said they will work on the new application and withdraw the old one once they have made a decision. As I have already an existing application I can still make a new application with an expired BRP.

I just want to confirm if thats accurate before i end up spending more money.

You would also require a new CoS if you apply again.

Is this the case if the original application has been made just 1 week ago, and the CoS is valid till January?

which number you were able to reach them please? I tried the one on ukvi and it goes to recorded message

I called Home Office today and asked the same questions:
-can I withdraw and re-apply with the priority route? (my visa will expire in 10 days but I should be allowed to withdraw and reapply within this time frame in theory. I applied for the health and care extension)
-can I use the same CoS?

The person who spoke to me had to ask her colleagues about these but was generally reluctant to give any advice.
I am told that:
-yes, I can do it but it will delay my visa decision even more. I might not even be able to apply for priority this time, it might not appear on my screen. (I have no idea why- they could not provide any reason for this). So even if I manage to apply for priority this time, it will be even more delayed. I asked whether it was still 16 weeks, and she told me that it was even longer than this due to the crisis in Ukraine.
-yes I can use the same CoS (she advised me to check with my sponsor too, but our HR had no idea-they actually advised me to call Home Office)

Apparently, I can apply to expedite it if there is a family emergency or death
Any other reason, including my wedding, would not be considered a valid reason.

Night be just because it's not guaranteed and you'll have no free priority slots left at the time you make an application, but that's just an assumption
