Asylum Seeker Applicant To Skilled Worker

Dear Seniors/Members

A question regarding a friend of mine,

He is Asylum Seeker, has put the asylum applicant and waiting for the decision. He has been given the paper to say that he can work. If he gets job offer from UK employer sponsor and they are happy to give him undefined CoS (for in country switch you need Undefined CoS) Can he switch to Skilled worker visa in UK or Not ?

If your friend was granted permission to work s/he would have been given the letter ASL.4264 which sets out the condition for work.
