does tier 1 rejection invalidates your WP? _ URGENT

Post by yipee » Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:21 pm

Hi, I made an application for my tier 1 switch from WP which is valid for 2 more years.

Now if the application gets rejected, then will my workpermit will get invalidated as well?

I know it wasn't the case previously when tier 1 was called HSMP, but is it now?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply.

Do you what guys - this was what was told to me by the UK border agency advisor - that if the app gets rejected you will have to reapply for the Visa no matter your previous wp i svalid or not. Now how ridiculous is that?

I made sure that she knows that I am currently on WP again and again but she said this would get invalidated!

called them again and they said information given to you was wrong!

So all please be aware that all what gets told to us is not always correct!

That's typical of telephone customer service staff here in Britain :) (No Offence). Every one thinks they are an authority in themselves and repeat the same thing over and over again even if they are wrong. The trick is to keep the phone down, be calm and then try calling after 5 minutes and pray that a more sensible person picks up the phone this time. Alternatively, you can ask to speak to that person's manager/supervisor (if they are available to speak).

It's another hidden fact of "life in the UK" and you have to ACCEPT it.
