FLR(M) queries

Post by mss9025 » Sun Nov 27, 2022 11:14 am

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if I could get some help with a few questions I have regarding the spouse visa extension. I am planning to apply mid- December as my current leave on BRP expires on the 3rd of January 2023.
  • My sponsor has ILR but not British citizenship, so would I still need to upload all the pages of her passport?
  • Is it necessary to upload all pages of my (applicant) passport or will just the stamped pages be sufficient as I only submitted stamped pages for my initial spouse visa?
  • When uploading pages of passport do they have to be copied into a document that is A4 in size?

Employer Letter
  • I will be relying on my (applicant) salary for the visa. Is it mandatory to obtain the employer letter from HR or can I get this letter from my line manager to confirm my salary and employment?
Cohabitation evidence

Do the following months look ok for my cohabitation documents? I will be using Electricity bills, Water bills, Phone bills, Bank statements and PayPal Credit statements as sources.

November 2020
April 2021
September 2021
January 2022
June 2022
November 2022

I would highly appreciate any advice on these questions. Many thanks in advance!

Best wishes

6 documents in joint names or 12 in individual names from at least 3 sources spaced 3-4 months apart and covering the last 2years preceeding the application will suffice.

I would highly appreciate any advice on these questions. Many thanks in advance!

Hi all,

I have reached the declaration stage of my application. Please can someone help with a query I have?

My understanding is that I, the applicant have to sign Part 1 of the declaration, and since I am uploading joint utility bills, my sponsor will have to sign Part 2 as well, which is fine.

I am unsure about part 3 as it is for the signatures of those who are providing third party financial support if stated in my application. My wife and I have joint financial responsibilities (rent, bills etc.). Does this qualify as a third party sponsor or should I leave this as not applicable in my case?

Many thanks in advance!

Many thanks Amazonian X and CR001.

Can I also please get some advice on how to answer the following questions on the form? I am not sure what they are expecting for this. Of course neither my partner nor I want to live outside the UK as we have established a private life together here, but should this be my answer to these questions?

Thank you.

Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country?

Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary?

It's not a trick question, respond truthfully as you deem fit to your circumstances.
There has not been a report of the response to above questions really impacting decisions.

Thank you again to you both. One last question, please. I've just submitted and paid for my application. Is it ok if I wait to book my biometrics appointment for a couple days to see if any free appointments come up? Or do I have to book my appointment immediately?

You can book when you wish. You have 45 days within which you must attend the appointment.
