Travelling close to BRP expiry

Post by Aarav086 » Sat Dec 31, 2022 11:07 am

Hi everyone

My husband’s BRP expires at the end of April. We’re going to apply for his extension within the 28 days before expiry.

However we’ve just had a baby and want to travel to India as soon as the baby’s vaccinations are complete so that our baby can meet our family. This means that we would travel and return 2 weeks before the expiry of his BRP. We would prepare everything for the extension such that we can submit immediately when we return from our trip.

Is there any issue/reason to not travel so close to BRP expiry? We would travel and return before expiry so that wouldn’t be an issue. But would the immigration officers raise any questions?

Thanks!

As long as you have validity on it, even if its a day he should not face any issue. (Not championing leaving till a day only stated hypothetically and baring any unforseen circumstances warranting a delay)
