Question: unexpected Application Update email received after receiving BRP

Post by Mabincredible » Tue Jan 31, 2023 3:48 pm

Hi,

I received an unexpected email from Home Office Atlas today regarding the enrolment of my biometric information. I was surprised to receive the reminder, as I had already completed the enrolment process on 4th May 2021 and received my BRP confirmation email on 15th June 2021. The BRP was received a couple of days after the confirmation email.

Is the reminder a mistake, or is there anything else I need to do?

I checked my BRP status, and it still shows that it is valid until 2024.

The email I received seemed to be a standard reminder:

Reminder to enrol your Biometric information

When you made your application online, you were advised that you had up to 63 days from the date of your application to make an appointment to enrol your biometric information at a UK Visa and Citizenship Application Services centre (UKVCAS).

You have not yet booked or attended an appointment.

You now have 14 days from the date of this notification in which to book an appointment to enrol your biometric information.

The email might also contain a footnote saying:
If you have already booked or attended an appointment to enrol your biometrics before seeing this email, then please ignore this reminder.
*extracted from a similar email I received.

If you already completed this just ignore the message.
