Spouse visa query

Hi

I m a Britizen citizen. Was borne in UK and moved to Srilanka when i was small
However after applying I got my 2 kids also British passports .
I m married to a Srilankan and wife has only the srilakan citizenship
I m planning to return to uk with Family what is the cheapest method to get citizen ship for my wife
is the Spouse visa or Parent Visa ? or can she apply as dependent and come
Pls help me on this

She can't apply for the parent visa, if she's your spouse.

If you’re eligible to apply as a partner, you must do that instead of applying as a parent.
Spouse visa for 5 years (or more, if things go wrong) as a path to ILR seems to be the shortest path in your situation. With ILR she can apply for citizenship.

There is no 'cheap method'. A spouse visa is expensive (visa fee and IHS fees x 2) and ILR is even more expensive. You are looking at a total cost over 5 years for 2 x spouse visas (assuming requirements are met at each stage) and ILR of around £7,000 to £8,000. Citizenship is an extra cost on top of this.
