Rent is 1800 and my income is 2000 for spouse visa

Post by aliafzalkhan2020 » Tue Feb 07, 2023 11:28 pm

Hi Everyone,

I was silent reader and this website has always helped me, this is my first post. Thank you in advance for your help.
I am renting a friend place in london, (house contract is on my name) it is 3 bedroom house and rent is 1800 PCM. I am sharing with one family and we are five people all together. I am sharing all the rent and bills with them as well. It is verbal agreement with this family and landlord knows it. Family pays me around 1500 and 800 by myself for total rent and bills etc (bills and council tax on my name). they renting two rooms. there is one box room at top floor as well which landlord use as storage.

Now i want to apply visa for my wife and son ( British, born abroad). only wife need visa to come to the uk. I will submit my tax return in april this year and my profit would be roughly 2000 a month. With this income and this much rent, Can i apply for her visa to join me? Or do i need one bed apartment? Even if i am alone in this house and i apply for visa, i guess case worker will see i don't have any money after rent. can case worker reject visa, if he says you don't earn this much as after paying rent you left with nothing?
I can get NOC from my landlord or any other document.
i will really appreciate your help.

Yet to see a situation of HO delving into how sponsor extends their funds, what is general knowledge is meeting the financial requirements of £1550/month £18,600/year.

Thank you for the reply.
so you mean as long as i meet with financial requirement and accommodation requirement, HO is fine with that? That would be great.
